So in current Girl Scouting, girls can earn meta-badges called (Leadership) Journeys. They take a topic from first introduction (Discover) out to community partners (Connect) and then into addressing a community gap through project-based service (Take Action). If a girl earns all three of the Journeys offered at her age level, she is entitled to wear the Journey Summit award for that level.
I mention this as background because I kinda want a leader Summit. For my graduation sweep: all the graduations for all the high schools of all the girls, eight plus two! And a little bit for keeping a Girl Scout hearth lit for these young women for the past thirteen years. Three of my girls started with me in kindergarten, two in first grade.
That’s a long time together. I’m really glad I had such great companions for so many awesome adventures.
