we make distance plastic

I walked out of the enneagram workshop to a great big moon,

a water-cracker an arm’s reach away.

I wanted to take a picture:

to save it for later | to show off to friends

But the camera deals in classical physics. The moon in the image would be the measured size of light reflected at that distance.

How is it that our eyes can pull close the things that draw us?
